Scope: BIM Execution Plan, BIM Modeling, Clashes checks
Owner: TECOM Group
Project Description: This University in Dubai is a prime example of collaborative effort and cutting-edge construction techniques. The project, consisting of three units – central, west, and east – seamlessly integrated precast and cast-in-situ reinforced concrete with a light steel roof cladding, resulting in a visually striking and structurally sound campus. A detailed BIM execution plan was crucial to the project's success, facilitating coordination between the design and construction teams, ensuring precise execution, and minimizing discrepancies. By using BIM, stakeholders had access to a comprehensive 3D model of the entire project, allowing for early issue identification and resolution, leading to smoother construction processes and cost savings. In addition to the BIM-driven workflow, the project team paid meticulous attention to connection detailing, ensuring structural integrity and long-term performance. This commitment to quality was further emphasized through rigorous quality control procedures, guaranteeing the accuracy and completeness of the design and construction methodologies. The project's success was further underscored by the commitment to collaboration. Open communication channels and regular meetings with all stakeholders ensured everyone was working towards a shared vision, leading to the project's timely completion.
